An assessment typically takes 11-12+ hours and begins with a clinical interview where we discuss your (or your child's) history, strengths, and struggles. I help you decide the areas that need an assessment, and we schedule a testing session. After testing and completing the necessary forms/online assessments, the data is scored, analyzed, interpreted, and is consolidated into a report. When the report is ready, we schedule a feedback session to discuss the results of the report and appropriate recommendations.


AUTISM ASSESSMENT

Dr. Vandana D’Sena is a registered doctoral psychologist in Saskatchewan and Alberta. She has conducted hundreds of assessments across areas such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and PTSD. An expert in the field of autism, her doctoral project focused on the underdiagnosis and misdiagnosis of autism in females compared to males.

Vandana earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from California Southern University and her Master of Counselling degree from the University of Lethbridge. With many years of experience in counselling and assessments, Vandana has worked with students at the University of Regina and currently conducts assessments for the Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan (LDAS).

She has worked extensively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and her travels to more than 20 countries have deepened her appreciation for multiculturalism.

Dr. Vandana D’Sena is registered with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists and the College of Alberta Psychologists, and is a member of the Psychological Association of Saskatchewan.
